Openly happy author Terrence Dean has weighed in on hip-hop’s emanate with homophobia and because black celebrities like Hot 97 luminary Mister Cee should be some-more stirring about their passionate preferences.

Writing in a post patrician “Hip-Hop’s Open Closet Secret”, Dean questions //www.xxlmag.com/features/2011/08/openly-gay-author-responds-to-xxls-article-on-homophobia-in-hip-hop/”>why no black celebrity has come brazen about being gay.

“This argumentative subject has tormented a communities, and world, for a prolonged time. And, notwithstanding a many hush-hush conversations, or speculations of a certain celebrity’s sexuality, not one Black luminary has come forward. Not one has publicly announced they are gay. Why? You meant to tell me that in this day and age of us carrying a Black president, and a dissolution of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,’ that not one Black luminary will come brazen and be who they are, and adore who they desire, though fear of visualisation or ridicule?” (XXL Mag)

He also //www.xxlmag.com/features/2011/08/openly-gay-author-responds-to-xxls-article-on-homophobia-in-hip-hop/”>breaks down a probable reasons because Mister Cee refused to residence a licentious sex act he had with a masculine that became open believe progressing this year.

“We had a missed event when renouned New York radio DJ and song producer, Mister Cee, was arrested for carrying licentious sex acts with a man, and even beg guilty to a charge. He’s been silent on a whole situation, and, yet it would’ve been a bold and dauntless position for him to take a mount and pronounce out on homophobia in hip-hop, he did what so many men, and women, who feel threatened by a broader landscape of heterosexual, masculine machismo, and high testosterone tossing bravado–Mister Cee shied divided from a topic. If we continue to hide, afterwards we make it seem shameful….But, can we censure Mister Cee? The hip-hop village was in an uproar, and a messages of hatred spewed over a internet of how no happy chairman has a place in hip-hop. Really? No happy chairman can have a place in hip-hop? we consider a lot of people will be unhappy to learn that most of a music, style, and enlightenment is shabby and combined by happy people.” (XXL Mag)

Although Mister Cee pleaded guilty to a crime final June, hip-hop artists like 50 Cent and Prodigy //www.sohh.com/2011/04/prodigy_rolls_deep_w_mister_cee_to_each.html”>have continued to support him.

“I’m usually conference what people saying, and radio, so we unequivocally don’t have that most of an opinion about it,” Capital P explained in an interview. “But to any his possess man, if it’s unequivocally like that. It sounds crazy to me, like Cee is my n*gga. We f*ck with Mister Cee. That n*gga loves Mobb Deep and always shows us love, and plays a song all a time on a radio. He’s one of a usually ones that does that. It’s few of them, and he’s one of a categorical ones. So regardless of what, that n*gga shows us love, and we’re going to uncover him adore back. He’s always going to get new song from us. That n*gga call, we always going to collect adult like ‘What’s up? You good?’ If he wants to do a party, whatever. Whatever Mister Cee wants to do, we f*ck with Mister Cee. That’s what it is.” (Complex)

In 2010, Young Money’s Nicki Minaj talked about //www.sohh.com/2011/07/russell_simmons_says_cut_rap_some_slack.html”>embracing her happy fan base.

“Obviously, a infancy of a group in hip-hop don’t wish we to consider they’re gay. That’s usually a existence of it,” Minaj says. “I’m a woman, so we have a lot some-more flexibility. And we don’t remove credit in any approach if we contend we consider girls are bone-head and sexy…Normally, Wayne substantially wouldn’t have happy guys entrance to see his shows much, though they’re unequivocally a large partial of my movement, and we wish they’d still come out and see me…I consider that will be really, unequivocally interesting, usually to start bridging that gap. We’ll see.” (Out)
